Peter Ulcin is a founder of EBC and business psychologist. He is also an author of a book, frequent contributor of articles about individual and organizational behaviour and host of TV debates on leadership topics. He has 15+ years experience in consultancy. His main goal has been to enhance client’s condition.
Peter has worked for different marketing consultancies across Europe (Slovak Republic, Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic), acquiring extensive experience in training and development of employees. He later set up and run his own company. He worked for clients such as Slovak Telecom and eTEL.
During that time, Peter developed a deeper interest in a human behaviour at work. In order to pursue this enthusiasm, he moved to London and started to study psychology and occupational psychology. Peter completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology at the University of East London and a Master’s Degree in Occupational Psychology at Goldsmiths, University of London.
While studying for his bachelor degree, Peter conducted research with participants from minority language groups and his study assessed mental abilities in working adults. For his master’s dissertation project, Peter investigated the relationship between personality, job motivation and burnout.
During his studies, Peter worked for the human resource consulting company, Adecco, and at the Recruitment & Training Centre of one of London’s leading transport companies, Go-Ahead London. Since completing his master’s degree, Peter has consulted for clients within government and private companies.
Peter’s written work has included articles on individual and organisational development. He has published widely in magazines such as Moderní řízení, Zdravie, Trend, Zisk Manažment, HR Forum and Psychologie dnes. Peter has also written his first book about effective communication skills and been continuously invited to discuss leadership topics on the TV (TA3).
After airing one of the debates, he was approached by The Institute for Labour and Family Research and Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs and Family of the Slovak Republic to conduct in-depth interviews with senior women leaders and write an analytical report for government agencies, which would feed in to setting up the national strategy for gender equality.
Peter is an active member of the British Psychological Society. He holds Level A and B certificates (Certificates of Competence in Occupational Testing for both Ability and Personality at Work) and is registered on The Register of Qualifications in Test Use (RQTU). Peter is also accredited to carry out Hogan Suite of Assessments (Certificate of Professional Development for interpreting and providing professional development feedback) and holds coaching certificates such as Primary Certificate in Performance Coaching and Primary certificate in Stress Management.
